463 New Covid-19 Cases On 12 Jun, 18 Community Cases Identified

MOH Reports 463 New Cases Of Covid-19 On 12 Jun, Brings S’pore’s Total To 39,850

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed 463 new cases of Covid-19 on Friday (12 Jun).

This brings Singapore’s national tally to 39,850.

The health ministry identified 18 community cases, of which 8 involve Singaporeans/Permanent Residents (PRs).

Of the community cases:

  • 5 were close contacts of earlier cases, and are already on quarantine
  • 5 were picked up from active surveillance
  • 8 are undergoing epidemiological investigations

The rest of the cases involve migrant workers who live in dormitories.

Death toll stands at 25

Yesterday, Case 39327, a 44-year-old Indian national, was reported to have passed away on 8 Jun. Authorities later confirmed that he had the Covid-19 infection on 10 Jun.

As the cause of death was ischaemic heart disease, it was not added to Singapore’s death toll of 25.
