Singapore Police Force Posts Cheesy Skits Of Various Crimes
‘Crimewatch’ is perhaps one of Singapore’s most iconic shows and the frequent subject of unintentional memes.
However, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) seems to have produced a possible contender in the form of a series of TikTok skits that aim to highlight the consequences of committing various crimes in Singapore.

SPF posted the video on Wednesday (22 Feb) and it has since gained over 74,000 views at the time of writing.
TikTok users praised SPF for their humour and ingenuity in creating these videos.
Characters in skits have visions of consequences of their crimes
The video starts off with a group of lanky gangsters. They walk towards the camera, cracking their knuckles and waving wooden sticks around. It appears as though they are ready to start a fight.

However, the main leader of the gang appears to have a vision of the future. Much like the beloved Wednesday Addams of ‘Wednesday’ fame, he looks up at the sky with his eyes bulging wide as he experiences a vision.

Said vision shows him getting caught and handcuffed by the police after he attempts to start a fight with his gang.

After seeing the vision, the leader seems highly traumatised. Thus, he drops his weapon in fear and signals his gang to retreat.

The captions on the video then state the consequences of rioting, which “carries a jail term of up to 7 years and caning”.

Singapore Police Force skits feature shop theft & outrage of modesty
The video then moves on to another two skits, the first about shop theft.
The character in the video attempts to steal a bottle of orange juice from a store.

As he hides the bottle underneath his shirt, he too experiences a vision of himself getting arrested. After seeing his future, he backs away from the bottle as eerie music plays in the background.

Finally, the last skit features a man looking cheekily at a woman’s lap. He inches closer, attempting to touch her thigh.

But you know where this is going by now.
He too then experiences the vision of him getting caught by the police.
After the terrifying sight, he puts his hand out and moves away from the woman as well.
The video ends with the caption: “Outrage of modesty carries up to 5 years jail, fine, caning”.

Skits praised to be better than Crimewatch
TikTok users found the video to be extremely entertaining and hilarious. One netizen praised the acting to be much better than that in the show Crimewatch.

The video is truly an interesting way to reach out to the younger generation whilst educating them on the serious consequences that come with committing such crimes.
