Drone aids in locating missing boy

At the request of a friend, the drone pilot, Mr Cai, arrived around 4pm to assist. After introducing himself to Enrique’s family, he launched his drone to help with the search.

Flying over a small river near a bridge, Mr Cai initially struggled with thick vegetation blocking the drone’s camera. But as he redirected upstream, the drone picked up a white shadow.

The search and rescue operation was officially concluded at 5.50pm after Enrique’s safe discovery.

Child found shaken but unharmed

Mr Cai immediately alerted the family, who rushed to the location.

After Enrique was rescued from the river, he was handed over to his grandfather, who carried him to his mother.

Though soaked and scratched, Enrique was conscious and unharmed.

Mr Cai reflected on the moment, calling the discovery a “matter of destiny.” He added he never expected to be the one to find the boy but was grateful for the outcome.
