Driver arrested for drink drinking after hit-and-run accident in Serangoon
A car driver has been arrested after being involved in a hit-and-run accident with a motorcyclist in Serangoon in the early hours of Friday (3 April) morning, then leaving the scene.
Footage of the aftermath posted on Telegram showed a motorcyclist lying injured on the road, with several men approaching him.
A dark blue car is seen a few metres away, facing against the flow of traffic.

Motorists check on motorcyclist who lies on road after accident
In the clip, the motorcyclist appeared to be conscious and moving, but lay next to a makeshift road divider erected due to ongoing MRT construction.
Near him was a motorcycle that had fallen on its side.

Three men were checking on him, but one man in a white shirt and grey pants later went back to the blue car, which was blocking traffic.

Damaged car leaves scene while crashing into barriacades
The blue car subsequently made a U-turn and entered a filter lane on Serangoon North Avenue 3.
Its front-left corner was observed to be damaged, including one of its headlights.

As it drove off, the car moved unsteadily, emitting smoke and crashing into the barricades at one point.

It then left the scene altogether.

Meanwhile, the motorcyclist was being attended to by other motorists.

Motorcyclist sent to hospital after Serangoon hit-and-run
In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it was alerted to a hit-and-run accident at about 12.40am on 3 April.
It took place along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 in the direction of Hougang Avenue 2, and involved a car and a motorcycle.
A 38-year-old male motorcyclist was sent to the hospital in a conscious state.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), which was alerted at the same time, told MS News that he was conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Driver arrested for drink driving
The 46-year-old male car driver had left the scene before the police arived, SPF added.
He was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Police investigations are ongoing.
