Former Mediacorp actor Huang Yiliang was hospitalised after he was allegedly assaulted during a dispute at a hawker centre on 10 May.

According to a Facebook post by Singapore Uncensored – Bringing you uncensored coverage on 11 May, the 64-year-old currently runs a seafood stall at Circuit Road Hawker Centre.
Videos circulating online showed Huang seated outside his stall in a red polo shirt. The clips also showed him speaking to police officers while paramedics attended to him.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told MS News they received a call for assistance at 79A Circuit Road at about 6pm, and conveyed a person to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Huang told The Straits Times (ST) that the dispute began at around 6pm while he was preparing food orders.

He alleged that the owner of a neighbouring Hainanese chicken rice stall had called over his female stall assistant to speak with her and her husband.
He said he told his assistant to resume work because she did not want to interact with the couple.
However, the pair began shouting near his stall and allegedly disrupting customers who were queuing for food.
Allegedly struck from behind
Recounting the incident, Huang said that he stepped out from his stall amid the argument. He then felt a sudden blow to his right ear from behind, which caused him to fall forward.
He also alleged that the chicken rice stall owner’s husband was responsible for the attack.
Following the incident, Huang said he felt pain around his ear and jaw, although there was no visible bleeding.

Members of the public then assisted him to a nearby table while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.
He was later discharged from the hospital at about 10pm on the same day. He was also reportedly given three days of medical leave along with pain medication.
In response to MS News’ queries, the police confirmed that a 64-year-old man was assaulted by a 60-year-old man.
The 64-year-old man was conveyed conscious to the hospital, while the 60-year-old man is assisting with ongoing police investigations.
