Students assault classmate over alleged harassment of friend’s girlfriend
Three male secondary students in Malaysia were arrested after assaulting a classmate who had allegedly harassed a girlfriend of their friend.
Victim slapped and kicked by group
According to a viral video, a male student in a white school uniform was being interrogated at a school stairwell by another student.
During the confrontation, the victim covered his face after being slapped several times, only to be kicked hard in the stomach by another student.

The blow caused him to lose his balance and fall backwards onto the steps, whereupon the attacker seized the opportunity to kick him directly in the face.
Police confirmed incident took place last Friday
The violent incident was recorded by other students and uploaded to a WhatsApp group before spreading across social media, triggering widespread concern among netizens.
In response, Ampang Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Khairul confirmed that the incident occurred on Friday (24 July) at 12.31pm at SMK Bandar Baru Ampang.
3 attackers remain under investigation
Police have arrested three students involved in the case and opened an investigation under Section 147 (Rioting) and Section 507B (Stalking/Bullying) of the Penal Code.
“Before the incident, the victim was led to the stairwell of Block F by a classmate, where he was subsequently punched and kicked by three schoolmates.
“The motive behind the incident is believed to be linked to the alleged harassment of one of the attacker’s girlfriend,” he stated.
