Man offers thousands of eggs to temple after allegedly winning lottery multiple times
A man offered more than 8,900 chicken eggs to a temple in Thailand after allegedly winning lottery prizes in around 10 consecutive draws.
44-year-old Damrong brought the offerings to Wat Woraphot Sangkhawat in Phan Thong district, Chon Buri Province, on 6 Sept.
He said his winning streak began after he prayed to a statue of Thao Wessuwan, a deity worshipped by many Thai Buddhists for blessings related to protection and fortune.

Mr Damrong prepared a large offering display featuring chicken eggs, red roses, red drinks and bottled water before carrying out a ceremony at the temple.
Volunteered at temple during construction work as way of making merit
Mr Damrong said he first came across the shrine while working as a driver transporting workers.

After stopping at the temple to rest, he noticed the old statue and decided to pray there for good luck.
Following this, he allegedly began winning smaller lottery prizes.
This prompted him to volunteer at the temple during construction work, which he viewed as a way of making merit.
Mr Damrong also shared that he made a promise to return with offerings if he received a bigger financial reward.
Claiming to have won prizes in about 10 straight lottery draws, including a recent larger win, he returned to fulfil that promise.
Drew ping-pong ball for new number
After the ceremony, Mr Damrong decided to test his luck and drew numbered ping-pong balls.
He ended up picking the numbers 5, 7, and 0.

He showed the set of numbers to temple visitors and reporters, with some noting it as a possible pick for the upcoming 16 Sept government lottery draw.
Distributed eggs to residents in communities
Rather than keeping the thousands of eggs, Mr Damrong gave them to residents in nearby communities to help ease their daily expenses.

He added that he would also consider using the number 570 when buying lottery tickets for the next draw.
