Man in US gets duct taped to seat after he gets violent on flight
A group of passengers aboard a flight in the United States (US) resorted to extreme measures to restrain a man after he suddenly became violent.
The remarkable photos of the man duct taped to his seat have gone viral online.
Since the incident on 3 Sept, the man was arrested and lost his job.
Man began biting and hurling slurs
All was normal on board American Airlines Flight 618 as it made its way from Texas to New Jersey.
However, two hours in, 67-year-old Arthur Lundeen — who was seated in the first-class cabin — suddenly began getting violent.
A retired police officer sitting two rows ahead of the man turned around to see him strangling another passenger.
When an African American air stewardess tried to step in to de-escalate the situation, the man began hurling racist and homophobic slurs at her.
A group of passengers then stepped in to help the cabin crew restrain Lundeen.
Lundeen fought back, biting the other passengers, before he was ultimately restrained to a seat with seemingly copious amounts of duct tape. His hands were also ziptied together.

He would continue to resist and try to break free of his restraints, prompting one of the passengers to sit on the man’s lap for 15 minutes as the plane diverted to rid itself of Lundeen.
Arrested and lost his job
The plane successfully made an emergency landing in Baltimore, Maryland, where Lundeen was arrested by the FBI.
Lundeen is being charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree assault.
FBI investigators are currently still investigating the case.
Meanwhile, Lundeen has seemingly lost his job.
Long Realty, whom Lundeen had worked as a real estate agent for, said they have cut ties with him following the incident.
