22-year-old male driver arrested after flipping his car during Kovan accident
A 22-year-old male car driver was arrested on Thursday (10 Sept) when a vaporiser was found on him after being involved in a two-car accident in the Kovan area.
A photo posted in a Telegram chat group for motorists showed that his car had flipped on its side during the accident.

Kovan accident took place at road junction outside petrol station
According to the user who shared the photo, the accident took place along Upper Serangoon Road, outside an SPC petrol station.
Others said they saw Traffic Police at the scene, which was at the junction of Hougang Street 21.

At least one police vehicle was seen in the photo.
Driver trapped in car after Kovan accident
In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it was alerted to the accident at about 11.50pm on 10 Sept.
It took place along Upper Serangoon Road and involved two cars.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), which was alerted at the same time, told MS News that they found one person trapped in the driver’s seat of a car.
He was extricated by SCDF using rescue equipment.
Driver suffers minor injuries, subsequently arrested
The 22-year-old driver was assessed by SCDF for minor injuries, but declined to be sent to the hospital.
However, he was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.
A vape was found in his possession and seized.
The vape-related offence has been referred to the Health Sciences Authority (HSA).
Police investigations are ongoing.
