Man arrested for voyeurism is reportedly an NTU student
A 22-year-old man was arrested for voyeurism on Saturday (19 Sept) night at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), according to the police.
Netizens on Reddit said they saw campus security and the police at North Hill Gym, which is located in NTU’s Banyan Hall.

NTU security seen patting down man
A Reddit user who went to the gym said they saw five security officers patting down a man and wondered what had happened.

Another user replied that security had arrived at about 7.30pm and were later joined by two police officers, who questioned other students.

The original poster (OP) added that the officers were still there when he walked in at 8.40pm.

Man said to be undergraduate student
Another netizen on the same thread identified the man as an undergraduate student studying mathematical sciences.

In another comment, the same user claimed they recognised the man as he is a final-year student in the same course.

Police arrest man for voyeurism at NTU Banyan Hall
In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it received a call for assistance at about 7.30pm on 19 Sept.
It came from 66 Nanyang Crescent — the address of NTU’s Banyan Hall.

A 22-year-old man was arrested for voyeurism, SPF added, without specifying whether he is a student.
Police investigations are ongoing.
NTU confirms that man is a student
An NTU spokesperson confirmed in a statement to The Straits Times (ST) that the man arrested is a student.
NTU campus security had responded to a call for assistance at a campus gym that evening and subsequently called the police, the spokesperson said.
University staff are in touch with the affected parties to provide support and assistance.
