In a Facebook post at the same time, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said the accident had taken place at the entrance of the tunnel leading to the departure zones of the Tuas Checkpoint.
This led the Expressway Monitoring and Advisory System (EMAS) to block two of the three lanes of traffic.
It advised travellers departing Singapore to expect delays and use Tuas West Road to reach the checkpoint.
