No injuries reported after car catches fire in Sengkang
Another car has caught fire in Sengkang, just over a week after a similar fire occurred in the same housing estate.
In footage of the latest incident that was posted on TikTok, flames were seen consuming the engine compartment of the non-electric vehicle early on Sunday (11 Oct) morning.

Burning car stops before Sengkang road junction
According to the caption, the burning car was spotted at 12.58am in the Fernvale area of Sengkang.
The white car’s boot was open and it had stopped along Sengkang West Way, on the 2nd lane from the right before a road junction.

The flames were spotted on its bonnet, under the car and coming out from its right side.

Firefighters arrived minutes later
In a second TikTok video, the same user said firefighters had arrived about 3 minutes later at 1.01am, just as the blaze started covering the entire car.

At least one fire engine was observed to have arrived at the scene.

No injuries reported after SCDF puts out car fire with water jet
In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the fire at about 12.50am on 11 Oct.
It took place at the junction of Sengkang West Way and Fernvale Road, and involved the engine compartment of a car.
SCDF put it out using a water jet, with no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Mercedes caught fire in Sengkang on 2 Oct
On the night of 2 Oct, a Mercedes caught fire along Sengkang East Road.
It also involved the engine compartment, with passers-by helping spray it with fire extinguishers.
It was eventually put out by the SCDF, with no injuries reported.
