Human-controlled robot fights, AI filmaking, and other highlights to expect at AICON 2026

Interactive AI activities and Singapore’s first robot fighting showcase at *SCAPE from 8-9 Oct

AICON, Singapore’s biggest consumer AI festival, is back for its second year, taking place from 8-9 Oct at *SCAPE.

This year, the event’s theme is “AI for Everyone”. It champions interactive participation in AI activities such as workshops, hackathons, and forums.

The Robot Fighting Championship (RFC), taking place on 9 Oct from 8pm to 10pm, is the event’s main highlight.

Robot-on-robot action, piloted by real fighters with motion controls

The RFC will feature two full-sized EngineAI T800 humanoid robots going head-to-head in a robot fighting showcase.

Human pilots control the robots using VR headsets and motion controllers.

Four pilots from martial arts, combat sports, and Singaporeʼs creator scene will take part in this event.

This includes content creator Jaze Phua, entrepreneur Eugene Chung, and streamer Amie.

RFC will also unveil a fourth mystery guest on the night of the event.

AICON also promises various hands-on workshops running throughout both days of the event.

On the programme: vibe coding with Gemini, AI filmmaking with Singapore Polytechnic, and live product demonstrations.

The event is also partnering with E2I, which is running various career workshops on both days.

AI for Humanity, moving from conversation to action

Dr James Ong, AICON co-founder, will also open the AI for Humanity Impact Forum.

Leaders from Singtel, UN PRI, Asian Development Bank, Global Fintech Institute, and Avista Advisory will join him.

Additionally, a fireside conversation will feature Loh Niap Juan, Group Chief Corporate Officer of Tsao Pao Chee.

AICON will also host a UN PRI MOU ceremony, launch a new initiative to nurture AI-for-Humanity ventures and connect talent across Southeast Asia and China, and launch the English and Chinese editions of AI for Humanity.
