6-year-old female bus passenger sent to hospital after collision with car in Tampines
A six-year-old girl was sent to the hospital on Wednesday (16 Sept) afternoon after the bus she was in collided with a car in Tampines.
A photo of the accident’s aftermath posted on Facebook showed that the SBS Transit bus had T-boned the car at a road junction.

Passer-by hears loud crash when bus & car collide
In the photo, an SBS bus captain was seen standing next to the accident vehicles, speaking on her phone.
A man stood in front of the silver car, which had its boot open.
A witness named only as Madam Yu (transliterated from Mandarin) told Shin Min Daily News that she heard a loud bang when passing by the area.
The 60-year-old then noticed that an SBS bus had crashed into the left side of a silver car.

Girl conveyed to KKH after Tampines accident
In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it was alerted to the accident at about 4.25pm on 16 Sept.
It took place at the junction of Tampines Central 1 and Tampines Central 3, and involved a bus and a car.
A six-year-old female bus passenger was sent to the hospital in a conscious state.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), which was alerted at the same time, told MS News that she was conveyed to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH)
Police investigations are ongoing.
Car did not stop at Tampines red light: SBS
Mrs Grace Wu, a spokesperson for SBS Transit, told MS News in response to queries that the accident involved its Service 8.
The bus was travelling straight through the junction, with the traffic light in its favour, when a vehicle travelling along Tampines Central 1 did not stop at the red light.
This resulted in a collision, she said.
Girl sent to hospital received outpatient treatment
A child on board the bus was sent to the hospital for medical attention after the accident.
She subsequently received outpatient treatment, Mrs Wu noted, adding:
We are in touch with her family to offer our care and support.
The other bus passengers continued their journeys after being transferred to another bus.
