Collect Improved Reusable Masks From Vending Machines At All CCs & RC Centres Until 14 Jun

From today (26 May) until 14 June, Singaporeans will be able to collect the new-and-improved reusable face masks from collection counters at all Community Centres (CC) and Residents’ Committee (RC) Centres.

The masks will also be dispensed from 400 vending machines at CCs as well.

This is the 3rd round of Singapore’s national mask-distribution exercise.

Collect improved reusable masks from CCs and RC centres

To collect the mask, Singaporeans simply have to bring along their identification documents.

They will be able to do so at all 109 CCs and 661 RCs islandwide, between 10am-6pm starting today until 14 Jun, reports The Straits Times (ST).

Each person is entitled to one mask only. Adults will receive adult-sized masks while children under 12 will receive priority for child-sized masks.

24-hour vending machine will dispense masks too

Vending machines situated at CCs around Singapore will be distributing masks as well.

Simply follow the instructions on the machine’s guide on how to collect the masks.

The machines will be in operation 24 hours a day and the masks will be cleaned and restocked regularly.

Safe distancing at collection points

Of course, temperature checks and safe-distancing measures will be observed at all collections points.

Singaporeans are encouraged to collect masks on behalf of those living with them to avoid crowding too. That said, they must present their housemates’ registered identification documents to collect masks for them.

Technology keeping us safe

The improved masks will reportedly provide better comfort and protection , thanks to Nanyang Technological University, textile manufacturer Ghim Li, textile firm Ramatex and the Agency for Science, Technology and Research.

Those, along with contact-tracing efforts, and now vending machines that dispense masks, just show how technology has played a big part in keeping us safe amid this pandemic.

Thanks to these masks, we’ll be able to head out more comfortably and safely until we don’t need them anymore.

Until then, do be cautious and continue to wear your masks when you’re required to.
