Cyclist rides along Central Boulevard without helmet or safety equipment
On 23 Sept, a passerby spotted a cyclist riding dangerously along Central Boulevard without wearing any safety equipment.
The cyclist even attempts to perform some tricks on the bicycle, but nearly falls over onto the road.
Passerby questions reckless behaviour
In a post on ROADS.sg on Facebook, the Original Poster (OP) observes “a growing concern about reckless cycling in Singapore”.
They noted that this behaviour is even more prominent on highways.
In the video, the cyclist is seen riding a bicycle on the main road at Central Boulevard near Marina Bay Sands.
He is not wearing any safety equipment and cars can be seen passing him by.

After a few moments of pedaling, the cyclist swerves, attempting to perform a trick on the bicycle.
Nearly falls off bike doing stunt
The youth continues to cycle down the road at a high speed, swaying his bike side to side.

At some point, the cyclist slips and his legs give out, causing him to nearly fall off the bike.
He manages to recover his balance and regain control of the bicycle, but his phone falls out of his pocket and drops onto the road.

The OP claims that the cyclist “got caught by a car” and they “thought to take to immediate action to improve road safety before a tragedy occurs”.
Netizens call out “foolish” act
Netizens expressed disappointment in the cyclist’s actions, criticising him for his reckless behaviour.
Many commenters also joked that the man’s genitals must have hurt from the failed stunt attempt.
