Convert currency with HSBC to win 148,000 KrisFlyer miles or a MacBook Air
Whether it’s for a holiday, an overseas investment, or sending money abroad, there are plenty of reasons you might need to convert currency. And if you already have an FX transaction coming up, HSBC is giving you the chance to earn something extra from it.
From now till 10 Nov 2026, eligible HSBC customers who register for the bank’s Convert and Win Campaign can earn chances to win 148,000 KrisFlyer miles or a brand new MacBook Air when they make qualifying foreign currency conversions or payments.

There’s even a guaranteed reward for some customers making larger transactions, but more on that later.
Win 148,000 KrisFlyer miles or a MacBook Air
If ‘The Lord of the Rings’ left you dreaming of New Zealand’s sweeping mountains, glassy lakes, and otherworldly landscapes, this is the prize to pay attention to.
Eight winners will each receive 148,000 KrisFlyer miles, which, as at October 2026, could be redeemed for a Singapore Airlines Business Class round trip to the Land of the Long White Cloud, subject to availability and applicable redemption terms and conditions.

And because the prize comes in miles rather than actual flight tickets, you’re not necessarily locked into one specific country. The miles can also be put towards other KrisFlyer redemptions if another destination or cabin class is calling your name.

If a long-haul getaway is a little hard to fit into your schedule, there are some pretty sweet tech prizes in the mix, too.
Five winners will each receive a 13-inch MacBook Air with an M5 chip and 512GB of storage, handy whether you need a lightweight work companion, something for editing on the go, or simply an overdue laptop upgrade.

Earn chances when you convert currency with HSBC
The mechanic is fairly straightforward: the more eligible FX transactions you make with HSBC during the campaign, the more chances you can accumulate. Here’s how the chances stack up:
- One chance for every S$5,000 accumulated in eligible FX transactions
- An additional five chances once you reach S$20,000
- An additional 10 chances once you reach S$50,000
- An additional three chances for qualifying New-to-FX customers who accumulate at least S$5,000
Here’s what that could look like in real life.
Say you’re heading to Paris and have a designer bag you’re itching to get from your wishlist to your wardrobe. Instead of heading to a money changer, you could convert SGD to EUR digitally through the HSBC Singapore app, then use the euros in your account with your HSBC Everyday Global Debit Card while you’re overseas.

If you convert S$10,000, for example, that works out to two lucky draw chances. And if you also qualify as a New-to-FX customer, you’ll get another three, bringing your total to five.
Travel isn’t the only scenario, either. Say you’re investing in US stocks and already need USD. Convert S$20,000 from SGD to USD through the HSBC Singapore app, and you’ll earn four regular chances, plus another five for hitting the S$20,000 milestone.

If you’re also a qualifying New-to-FX customer, that’s another three chances, bringing the total to 12.
In short, if you already need to exchange a larger amount for a holiday, investment, or overseas transfer, the same conversion could also put a few lucky draw chances on the table.
And for those who still prefer doing things face-to-face, selected branch FX transactions are also eligible from 10 Oct to 10 Nov 2026, with the relevant eligibility details available on HSBC’s website.
Get S$200 in GrabGifts vouchers for bigger transactions
The lucky draw may come down to chance, but there’s also a guaranteed reward for those converting a larger sum, whether it’s for a longer holiday or another sizeable overseas expense.
The first 150 eligible customers who register and make a single eligible FX payment of at least S$25,000 will receive S$200 worth of GrabGifts vouchers.

And if exchanging foreign currency is something you do fairly regularly, there’s another way to stretch those dollars.
HSBC Forex Club offers tiered savings on FX margins, with eligible customers able to enjoy up to 40% off once they reach the Platinum tier. Put simply: the more you exchange, the more you could save.
Register to participate in HSBC’s Convert and Win Campaign
There’s one small but important bit of admin to get out of the way first.
To participate, register once through HSBC’s e-form by 10 Nov 2026 using the gift code <WIN>, then make your eligible currency conversions or FX payments through the relevant HSBC channels during the campaign period.
The lucky draw will take place on 13 Jan 2027, with winners notified via mobile push notification or SMS by 31 Jan 2027.
Once again, the HSBC Convert and Win Campaign runs till 10 Nov 2026. For the full campaign mechanics, eligibility requirements, exclusions, and terms and conditions, visit HSBC Singapore’s website.

Deposit Insurance Scheme
Singapore dollar deposits of non-bank depositors are insured by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation for up to S$100,000 in aggregate per depositor per scheme member by law. Foreign currency deposits, dual currency investments, structured deposits and other investment products are not insured.Â
All non-SGD eligible FX transactions are notionally converted to Singapore Dollar (SGD) at the bank’s prevailing FX rates to calculate the aggregate FX transaction amount in SGD.
Foreign currency conversions are subject to fluctuations of foreign exchange rates. Such rate fluctuation may result in capital gains or losses. Certain foreign currencies are subject to exchange controls which may affect the convertibility or transferability of that currency.
If you are outside of Singapore, HSBC may not be authorised to offer or provide you with financial planning services, advice or webinar invites in the country you are located or resident in.
