Some suspect AI influencer Kareema Yertargyn is not real after she became popular in under a year
On 1 April 2026, Toronto-based Kareema Yertargyn made her first post on Instagram under the account @kaye.creatives.
“I’m a musician, an engineer and creator. Every story has a beginning,” she wrote in the caption. “Come watch my journey unfold.”
The post itself is a clip made with generative AI. In it, she boldly claimed that creatives don’t need a massive crew and budget for good production quality.

She now has 1.1 million followers on her Instagram account — but some have questioned her meteoric rise and even her existence.
Big on Instagram
Ms Yertargyn’s bio is short and concise, simply stating that she is a “Musician & CS engineer”.
Some of her most popular posts on Instagram have received millions of likes and upwards of 20,000 comments.

Many of her posts are tutorials on how to make content like hers, with prompts provided.
Some of these tutorials are posted on the Higgsfield AI site.
The posts are typically made with AI tools that are available to everyone, yet not many are able to achieve the same results.

Skepticism over her meteoric rise
Her production quality and quick rise in popularity has raised some eyebrows.
In particular, there is some discussion that Ms Yertargyn might either be entirely AI-generated herself or simply another one of Higgsfield’s marketing stunts.

Furthermore, despite her Instagram following, her other accounts are much less impressive.
Her Facebook posts typically receive under 20 likes with no comments.
Meanwhile, her posts on TikTok typically only get around 1,000 to 2,000 views. Her Threads account is similarly barren for engagement.

A thread on Reddit posted on 1 Oct sought answers on if the creator was real.
One of the commenters claimed she was most likely a real person after finding a YouTube account with her name and likeness.

The account had only one public video — a vlog titled “Almaty Museum of Arts” in which she is featured and speaking in Russian about the museum based in Kazakhstan.
That video has since been made private.
The YouTube account associated with it has also been renamed to “Mueeza is my Lovely Cat” although the indexed Google search still shows Ms Yertagyn’s name.
The comments appear to mostly believe that she is a real person. However, they feel that she is most likely the product of a team, rather than an individual creator.
“Even if she’s real, I think it’s well executed marketing stunt from Higgsfield company,” one commenter wrote.
Higgsfield controversies
Whether or not Ms Yertargyn is a Higgsfield product, many of her posts certainly credit the company.

And if she is indeed a Higgsfield influencer, she would not be the first nor its most controversial marketing stunt.
Some of their marketing strategies have gotten them in hot water with consumers, with threads on Reddit discussing their distasteful ads that seemingly brag about destroying jobs held by artists.
According to Forbes, some of their more daring stunts have even led to them being banned from X.
They have even been accused of misleading people into thinking stock videos are generative AI.
Creators have also received a Google Drive from Higgsfield which contained racist creations.
One of these included Shrek saying “Do I look Asian to you?” after another character suggested that he eat Puss in Boots.
Higgsfield also uses many influencers and creators to drive consumers to their businesses, lending some credence to the idea that Ms Yertargyn may be one of their creations — whether she is real or not.
