Dog Gets Trapped In A Bench, Beijing Parkgoers Commence Heartwarming Rescue Operation
As a kid, we might have gotten a limb or two stuck in furniture and playground out of curiosity.
A golden labrador in Beijing found himself in a similar tight spot. Somehow, he got stuck in a park bench gap.
Passersby were delighted to help the chubby one wiggle his way out, as seen in this viral video on Facebook.
After all, with that innocent expression, nobody can blame this cuddly friend.
Labrador was too chubby
3-year-old Zhuang Zhuang was on a photoshoot with his owner at a park and was searching for a spot to take a break, reported Daily Mail.
The labrador, however, got himself caught between a park bench after his bum slipped into the gap.
With a thicc physique, the poor one could not squirm himself out of the sticky situation.
Park-goers band together to save this adorable labrador
Fortunately, kind Samaritans in the Beijing park were glad to assist this playful labrador.
As seen in the video, several park-goers were supporting him from the back, while a few pulled him out from the front.
Another doggo casually observes from the side, providing moral support for the team.
During the ‘extraction’, Zhuang Zhuang was relatively well-behaved, except for a few moments of impatience.
10 minutes of untangling
The rescuers can be heard comforting the struggling dog 43 seconds into the video, assuring him that everything would be okay. This was a moment that thoroughly warmed our hearts.
After close to 10 minutes of twisting and turning, the well-coordinated operation finally paid off as the last of his torso gets freed from the clutches of the unforgiving park bench.
Labrador was a police dog
After this embarrassing incident, netizens were shook to find out that this adorable labrador used to be a police dog.
However, his owner revealed that Zhuang Zhuang has gained significant weight after retiring from his job, according to Daily Mail.
While we think the weight does give him an endearing factor, it is affecting his joints and overall health. This incident might be a sign for him to shed some pounds this summer.
A heartwarming moment
Nevertheless, we still find Zhuang Zhuang’s awkward encounter extremely lovable, though unfortunate.
It also shows that many are willing to go the extra mile to help man’s best friends when they are in need.
