Man caught on CCTV allegedly taking speaker from Bukit Batok shop & putting it in plastic bag
A police report has been made after a man allegedly took a speaker from a shop in Bukit Batok and left without making payment.
CCTV footage uploaded by a shop named Top One Communition on TikTok showed him casually putting the item in a plastic bag.

Man removes speaker hanging at Bukit Batok shop
In the clip, which had the timestamp of 2.05pm on 16 Sept and was posted four times, the man is seen standing at the counter of the shop, with nobody apparently attending to him.
He looked around for a while as passers-by walked behind him.

He then fiddled with the plastic bag in front of him and reached toward an object near the camera that was revealed to be a speaker.
As people continued strolling by, he removed the speaker, which was hanging by its strap.

Having successfully taken down the speaker, he put it inside the plastic bag.

He then quietly left the shop.

In a comment on one of the posts, the shop said that this happened at Block 374 Bukit Batok Street 31, which is near Bukit Gombak MRT station.

Shop says man could have just asked for speaker
The shop asked netizens whether they knew the man, describing him as “daring to steal in broad daylight”.
It also claimed that if he wanted it, he could have “just said so”, asking:
Why did you have to steal it?
In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) confirmed that a report had been lodged over the incident, and investigations are ongoing.
