Mercedes driver seen switching lanes without warning at North Buona Vista Road
On 21 Sept, a Mercedes driver was caught recklessly changing lanes along North Buona Vista Road.
The driver had done so without warning, and in turn caused a nearby BYD car to swerve.
A dashcam from a car behind the Mercedes captured footage of the incident, which occurred around 5.20pm.
Mercedes driver switches lane without signalling
In a video posted on the SG Road Vigilante Facebook page, a Mercedes car could be seen travelling along the middle lane of North Buona Vista Road.
Meanwhile, a BYD car is on the left lane cruising at a normal speed.

Soon, the two cars approach a queue of vehicles near a traffic junction.
Instead of stopping, the Mercedes driver suddenly makes a sharp break towards the left lane without signalling.
The signal only comes on after the car is halfway across the lane.

BYD driver swerves to avoid collision
In response to the sudden movement, the BYD driver swerves their car to avoid collision.
The action nearly causes the car to hit a kerb and veer off the road.

The BYD car then comes to stop after its driver manages to squeeze into a pocket of space next to the errant Mercedes.
The Original Poster writes in the caption: “Hopefully the BYD didn’t damage his rims by the defensive move.”

Drivers are reminded to signal before switching lanes.
Switching lanes without signalling is an illegal traffic offense in Singapore that carries a fine of S$100 for light vehicles and S$150 for heavy vehicles.
