Mid Valley Southkey Is Inspired By Mid Valley Megamall, KL
Singaporean shoppers who love shopping in Johor Bahru (JB) have been treated to a slew of new shopping destinations in recent months.
And the trend doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
Newest to the party is Mid Valley Southkey, which officially opened its doors on Tuesday (23 Apr).
Inspired by Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur, this behemoth of a mall is also touted as the largest integrated shopping centre in JB.
Here’s what you can look forward to there.
Atas shopping experience
Shoppers can expect a luxurious shopping experience at Mid Valley Southkey, with its spacious corridors, glass connectors, and perfectly-trimmed plants lining the aisles.
Familiar street fashion brands like Onitsuka Tiger, Cotton On, and Uniqlo, will also have outlets at the mall.
With the favourable SGD/MYR exchange rates lately, apparels are definitely going to be much more friendly for your wallet as compared to buying them locally.
High-SES shoppers will also be in for a treat, with atas stores like Michael Kors, Kate Spade and Tumi.
Be warned though, a fair number of stores appear to be undergoing renovation as of the time of this article, on 23 Apr.

Plenty of dining options
Given its size, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that dining options at Mid Valley Southkey are aplenty.
But if you’re just thirsty, head down to Starbucks for a cup of joe.
Otherwise, treat yourself to ice-cream from ice cream parlours like Baskin-Robbins.
Bad for your diet, but so damn good on your tastebuds.
10-min drive from JB customs
If you’re already planning a trip down to this weekend, here is more information on how to get there.
