34-year-old motorcyclist seen lying on the road after accident with 2 cars along BKE
A 34-year-old male motorcyclist was sent to the hospital on Saturday (26 Sept) after being involved in an accident with two cars along the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE).
Footage of the aftermath posted on Facebook showed the injured motorcyclist lying face-down on the road as other motorcyclists surrounded him.

Motorcyclist lies on BKE amid cars blocked by accident
In the clip, passers-by attended to the motorcyclist, including a kind woman who shielded him from the sun with an umbrella.

His Malaysia-registered motorcycle stood upright behind him, straddling two lanes of the expressway. Some debris lay on the asphalt next to it.

In front of the motorcycle was a white car that had sustained damage to its rear.

Surrounding the accident scene were cars that were obstructed by the vehicles involved.
An Expressway Monitoring and Advisory System (EMAS) Recovery vehicle was also spotted, and a traffic cone blocked two lanes of the BKE.

Accident causes congestion along BKE
In a post on X, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said at 12.02pm that the accident had occurred along the BKE in the direction of Woodlands after Woodlands Avenue 3, which is close to the Woodlands Checkpoint.
Motorists were advised to avoid lanes 1 and 2.

Ten minutes later, it updated that the accident had caused congestion till the Seletar Expressway (SLE) intersection.

The congestion persisted up to at least 12.30pm, according to LTA.

Motorcyclist sent to KTPH while conscious
In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it was alerted to the accident at about 11.50am.
It took place along the BKE towards the Woodlands Checkpoint, and involved a motorcycle and two cars.
A 34-year-old male motorcyclist was sent to the hospital in a conscious state.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), which was alerted at the same time, told MS News that he was conveyed Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH).
Additionally, a 53-year-old male car driver is assisting with police investigations, which are ongoing.
