Pokémon Centre To Open At Jewel Changi Airport In March 2019

Singapore’s Pokémon Centre Will Be The Only One Outside Japan

Ready, set, Pokémon Go.

From March 2019, Singaporeans and travellers can look forward to a whole new Pokémon experience at Changi Airport.

If there’s ever a heaven for Pokémon fans

That’s because Jewel Changi Airport will house Pokémon Centre Singapore, which will sell all kinds of Pokémon merchandise — from plushies to jewellery & chopsticks.

Let’s take a quick look at what to expect.

Endless shelves of Pikachu merch & plushies

Longtime connoisseurs of these adorable collectable figurines can look forward to expanding their collections.

Better start making space on your shelf

You’ll finally be able to live out your childhood dream of snagging a real-life Pikachu.

From slippers, to keychains, hairbands, cushions and towels — there’ll be endless shelves of Pikachu merchandise in all shapes, sizes and forms.

Here’s a glimpse at the vast selection of nostalgic trading cards they’ll probably carry. Boy, do they have massive collections in Japanese Pokécentres — we expect nothing less for Singapore’s branch too.

Say goodbye to your pocket money

Stock up on gorgeously packaged Pokémon-themed snacks, chocolates & candies. We think they’ll be perfect for birthday gifts to your nephews and nieces.

Biscuits, drinks, candies, jellies, you name it

And of course, Pokémon plushies — rows and rows and rows of them.

Cue Agnes’ “You’re so fluffy, I’m gonna die!”

If you found it hard to choose a starter Pokémon, now you can truly catch’em all!

You probably won’t run out of Pokéballs, just money in your wallet.

Pokémon Centre is here to stay in Singapore

The Pokémon Centre at Jewel Changi will be the very first official Pokémon Centre outside Japan.

Pokémon Hub at Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

For those who can’t stand the wait and aren’t flying to Japan anytime soon, Hong Kong’s Pokémon Hub – which opened in Dec 2017 – may be a viable alternative to snag some official Pokémon loot.

Currently, there are at least 8 Pokémon Centres across Japan, from Tokyo to Osaka.

While there’s no news on how big the shop at Jewel Changi Airport will be, we’re sure it won’t disappoint.
