PUB issues two flash flood risk warnings in Jurong during heavy downpour on 10 Sept

PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency, issued flash flood warnings in Jurong and Boon Lay on Thursday (10 Sept) morning.

The warnings were given amid a heavy downpour across Singapore.

Flash flood risk warnings issued in Jurong area

At 7.41am, the National Environment Agency (NEA) forecasted “moderate to heavy thundery showers” over much of Singapore between 8am and 9.30am.

The PUB Flood Alerts Telegram channel then warned of flash flood risks from the heavy rain at around 8.30am.

They urged the public to avoid Jalan Boon Lay between International Road and Enterprise Road.

The junction of Pesawat Drive and Jurong Port Road also received a flash flood risk alert.

Rain cleared in late morning of 10 Sept

At 8.55am, the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) showed rain clouds and thunderstorm forecasts over much of Singapore.

NEA later announced in a post at 9.56am that the light rain was clearing and gave a cloudy forecast thereafter.
