Driver in Singapore criticises students for crossing road without urgency
On 9 Oct, a driver came across a couple of students crossing the road while passing by a school area in Woodlands.
He was appalled when they continued to leisurely stroll even when the traffic light turned green, signaling vehicles to move.
Later, the Original Poster (OP) shared the dashcam footage of the incident on Facebook where netizens had mixed reactions to the driver’s complaints.

The driver even moves the car closer to the pedestrian crossing. However, the students appear unfazed by the vehicle.
Even when the car is dangerously close, one of the students did not pay attention to the driver and walked casually.

In the captions, the OP chided the students for their “don’t bother” attitude.
They criticised how the students crossed the traffic light at their own pace, “ignoring their safety”.
Netizens ask why OP did not honk or warn them
This scene caught netizens’ attention, however, most did not agree with the OP’s complaint.
Most netizens questioned the motorist for not honking or giving the students a verbal warning instead.

Some even criticised the OP for being impatient.

On the other hand, some netizens agreed that the students are irresponsible and have “no sense of danger”.
