S’poreans Can Buy Covid-19 Care Packs For Vulnerable Groups For $25 Each
While many of us have the luxury of being able to work from home, there are members of our community who cannot afford even basic necessities.
Thus, a group of Singaporeans have started a ground-up initiative to pay it forward for those who have been severely affected by the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.
Titled #SGPAYSITFORWARD, the initiative jointly organised by Night Owl Cinematics (NOC), Ninja Van, and social media marketers Goodstuph features the preparation and delivering of Covid-19 care packages, which will benefit 100,000 people.
And here’s how you can pay it forward, starting today.
Care packs for vulnerable groups include masks & hand sanitiser
The care packs will contain essential items during the Covid-19 outbreak.
Each pack contains the following:
- Hand sanitiser
- Disinfectant spray
- Antibacterial body wash
- Antibacterial wipes
- Antibacterial handwash
- Vitamin C
- Surgical masks
These packs cost $25 each, with every cent going to the items — no profits will be made.
The items have also been bought at cost price, making them cheaper than if they’d been bought from a store.
Purchase a care pack for vulnerable communities
Helping out has been made ridiculously simple and you can do so without even leaving your comfy bed.
All you have to do is visit SGPaysItForward and click “Add to cart” to purchase a care pack, and if you wish to buy more packs, you can set the amount as well.
Then, one of 100,000 people will receive the care pack that you paid for.
Beneficiaries include old folks’ homes, centres for migrant workers, and a host of other disadvantaged groups.
Care packs will ensure those disadvantaged can get supplies
Items like hand sanitisers and masks aren’t easy to get currently, and retail prices actually aren’t cheap.
Hence, these care packs will go a long way to giving the disadvantaged necessities while the ‘Circuit Breaker’ measures are in place.
