Singapore Ants Exhibition Lets You Peek Into The Hidden Lives Of Ants Till 31 Dec
Ever wondered about what life is like for ants? The Singapore Ants Exhibition, held from now till the end of the year, gives you a chance to peek into an ant’s life.
The exhibition features colonies of 21 species of ants in 25 different habitats. You’ll get to see ants working together to feed on their prey as well as weaving to form a bridge for crossing.
Get up close with ants
At the exhibition, get a close-up look on how ant colonies team up to attack and feed on their prey.
Also catch a glimpse of how Weaver ants build bridges for other ants to cross.
Apart from the soldier ants, if you’re lucky, you’ll get to see the queen ant laying eggs.
Singapore’s very own ‘Ant-Man’
The exhibition is organised by Singapore’s very own Ant-Man, Zat Low. No, we’re not talking about the superhero, but an individual fascinated by ants.
A passionate ant collector, Zat regularly builds impressive maze-like nests for ants such as the one below.
According to The Singapore Ants Exhibition’s Facebook post, attendees can even learn how to build a nest for ants.
