The Kallang hosting Singapore Tennis Open till 27 Sept, with free screenings, games, and more
If your September plans could use a little more action, The Kallang has turned into one big tennis playground for the week.
The Singapore Tennis Open, Southeast Asia’s only WTA 500 tournament, is taking place at the OCBC Arena from now till 27 Sept, bringing some of the sport’s biggest names to town.

But you don’t necessarily need a match ticket to join in the fun.
Around the precinct, visitors can find free live screenings, tennis-themed activities, player appearances, food, and more as part of the festivities surrounding the tournament.
The free qualifying matches on 19 and 20 Sept may already be over, but there’s still plenty happening around The Kallang until the tournament wraps up on 27 Sept.

Meet tennis players and legends away from the court
Watching professional tennis players battle it out from the stands is one thing, but fans also have opportunities to see them in a much more relaxed setting.
From now till 25 Sept, player meet-and-greet sessions will be held at the Feel Alive Zone at Arena Park, with selected Singapore Tennis Open stars making appearances depending on their schedules and availability.
There are also sessions featuring accomplished former players and BNP Paribas ambassadors Latisha Chan, Yayuk Basuki, and Tamarine Tanasugarn.

Fans can snap photos with them and hear their stories firsthand during an open Q&A. Here are the upcoming session timings:
- 22 Sept: 3pm
- 23, 24, and 25 Sept: 12.30pm
- 26 Sept: 2pm
As player appearances may change, keep an eye on The Kallang’s social media pages or turn on push notifications in The Kallang App for the latest meet-and-greet updates.
Whether you follow tennis religiously or have only recently started watching the sport, it’s a chance to get a little closer to athletes you’d normally only see on court.
Catch rising local and regional players
There’s even more tennis happening beyond the WTA tournament.
From 23 to 26 Sept, the Singapore Tennis Invitational Cup (STIC) returns to Kallang Tennis Hub, bringing together national players from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Cambodia across singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events.

It’s another opportunity to catch competitive tennis up close while supporting up-and-coming talent, with admission free on a first-come, first-served basis.
Watch matches for free over food, drinks, and games
Even those without a ticket to the main tournament can still soak up the match-day atmosphere at Break Point Garden in Arena Park.
From now till 27 Sept, selected Singapore Tennis Open matches will be screened live for free, so you can follow the action alongside fellow fans without having to sit courtside.

There’s more to do between matches, too, with DJ performances, food and drinks, plus games such as the Erdinger Stein Slide, where you could walk away with exclusive merchandise.
One new drink making its debut is the Kallang Roar, The Kallang’s signature cocktail made with vodka, passionfruit, and coconut. Created specially for the precinct, it’s also set to make appearances at selected events in future.

And if you start to feel peckish, food trucks by Nosh. Singapore will be serving dishes such as the Messy Patty burger and Fish & Chips, so there’s no need to leave the action when hunger strikes.
Families can also swing by the Kallang Wave Mall Atrium for a supersized take on the sport. There, visitors can mess around with oversized rackets and inflatable tennis balls on a specially built court that’s open for everyone to try.

And if you’re passing through Stadium MRT Exit B, keep an eye out for the Singapore Tennis Open Activation Truck.
Registered Kallang Kaki members using The Kallang App can take on the Reaction Challenge for a chance to unlock tournament experiences and rewards, including food and beverage vouchers.
