Stefanie Sun Updates Fans About Her Daughter In Heartwarming Facebook Post
When Stefanie Sun made a surprise confirmation in end-Jan that she was with child, Singapore celebrated with her.
Now, 7 months after her announcement, we’re glad to report that her daughter has been safely delivered.
Her baby daughter, who’s born in the Year of the Dog, will celebrate her birthday in July just like her mother.
Stefanie shared the joyful news in a heartwarming Facebook post on Monday (30 Jul).
Checking out a whole new girl
The singer began her post in Mandarin, apologising for the long wait before her official update.
Nadim – her Dutch-Indonesian husband – and Stefanie welcomed their new baby girl on Wednesday (25 Jul).
She elaborated in hilarious status update:
- Baby girl’s status: Checking out a whole new world
- Parents’ status: Checking out a whole new girl
- Mama’s status: Hungry
In summary, she said that both the mother and baby are “fine and in good health”, adding numerous prayer emojis for good measure.
Heartfelt thanks to her medical team
Stefanie also extended her heartfelt thanks to the medical team at Thomson Medical Centre,
We’d also like to say a big thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff.
For “taking such great care of us”, she gave a shout out to Dr Joycelyn Wong, Dr Yang Linqi and Dr Yvonne Lim in her post.
Although carrying a child after age 35 does come with risks of complications, we’re glad that Stefanie and her team made it through successfully.
An adorable family portrait
Stefanie uploaded an adorable hand-drawn family portrait too.
Presumably drawn by her 6-year-old son – affectionately known as Na Xiao Yi – we think he’s definitely an artist in the making.
We’re sure her daughter will be proud to call him a big brother soon.
