Driver waits patiently after woman blocks and leans on his car for no apparent reason
A driver appeared to demonstrate remarkable patience after a woman was seen gesturing and leaning on his car along Liang Seah Street.

A TikTok video posted by @jzk.mov showed dashcam footage of the encounter, which took place on Tuesday (25 Aug) at about 8.38pm.
In the video, the Original Poster (OP) came to a gradual stop after turning into Liang Seah Street.
A woman in a red top and yellow skirt then approached the OP’s vehicle and pointed at him.
The OP could also be heard asking aloud: “Excuse me?”

She then made some hand gestures before moving towards the car and placing both hands on the bonnet.
Thereafter, the woman leaned against the vehicle and said something while giving two thumbs-up.

According to the footage, she then remained motionless for a while. At this point, the driver could also be heard giving out a loud sigh.
The woman finally pushed herself off the vehicle and left, but not before saying something and giving the driver another hand gesture.

The OP then took this opportunity to avoid the woman and quickly drove away.

The clip has since drawn attention online, with many netizens impressed by the driver’s patience in this situation.

A TikTok user agreed, asking how the OP could be so calm and not honk at the woman. The OP explained that he didn’t do so because that would “give her the reaction she wants”.

Driver was just as puzzled by the woman’s actions
Jarett Zachary, 27, told MS News that he was embarrassed at first as there were people around.
He shared that he did not intend to trigger the woman in any way. He also could not have accelerated or reversed, as doing so would have risked injuring her.
“Coming out of the car to persuade her to move aside was the next option, but I chose to wait a little longer,” he said.
He also said that he couldn’t hear what the woman was saying as the song was playing in the car.
When asked what was going through his mind during the incident, Jarett said: “I was hoping she wouldn’t stay there for too long lah (laughs). If not, I’d have to wait.”
“I was just as puzzled as everyone else.”
