Woman Discovers “Correct” Way To Close Cereal Boxes After 40 Years, Blows Our Mind
Closing cereal boxes isn’t a big deal, but we’ve also sorely misjudged how satisfying it is to close them neatly.
Thanks to the glue sealing the box, most of us are probably left with torn bits of cardboard when we open our breakfast cereals. This makes sealing them an unsightly affair.
However, one Ms McGhee has, after 40 years, figured out the “correct” way to close a cereal box. She shares her amazing discovery in a Facebook post on Sunday (10 May).
Her post has since gone viral, garnering over 127,000 shares within 5 days.
Closed cereal boxes look immaculate
While Singaporeans will probably think “my cereal is going to laohong (turn soft)”, we can’t deny the aesthetic looks pleasing.
Take a look if you don’t believe us.
We’ve tried her unique way of closing cereal boxes and we’re glad to report it’s legit.
While it’s not airtight, it doesn’t loosely hold the box shut, and has a pretty solid hold.
Video tutorial for the interested
For those interested in achieving peak cereal box neatness, the helpful lady even shared her method in a video tutorial, calling it “the easiest hack in the world”.
The method is pretty simple and can be done in 10 seconds, though her in-depth explanation took her slightly longer.
It might not be the most life-changing discovery, but it is definitely the life hack we didn’t know we needed.
Human creativity knows no bounds
Thanks to Ms McGhee, all of us can now close our cereal boxes in a way that keeps our OCD at bay.
And the method is so easy we’re sure that even young children can learn how to do it without much fuss.
Cheers to simple and satisfying life hacks.
