Boys Punch & Kick Teen In Video, Eight People Assisting In Police Investigations
On 15 Jan afternoon, a fight broke out at a fitness corner in Serangoon Central.
In a video circulating online, three youths were seen throwing punches and kicks at another teenager.
The police were notified about the incident at about 4.15 pm that day and a 15-year-old boy was conveyed to the hospital.
Eight people aged between 11 and 14 are now assisting the police with their investigations, reported Channel NewsAsia (CNA).
Three boys punch and kick teen
In the video reposted on Twitter, a teenager wearing a black T-shirt was seen sitting on one of the exercise equipment at the exercise corner.
Without warning, a boy in front of him delivered a flying kick to his head.
Another two boys subsequently entered the frame and kicked the teen’s head as well.
They then pushed him off the seat and continued throwing punches when he was on the ground.
The three boys continued attacking the teen, kicking and elbowing him as he shielded himself with his arms, screaming.
At one point, one of the boys dragged the teen by his shirt.
The cameraperson then shouted at the boys, questioning why they didn’t pull off the victim’s shirt.
The person behind the camera could also be heard telling the boys to run if the police show up.
Eight people between 11 and 14 assisting police investigations
According to The Straits Times (ST), the incident took place near Block 201 Serangoon Central on 15 Jan.
The police received a call for assistance at about 4.15pm.
A 15-year-old boy was conveyed to the hospital while conscious.
The incident has now been classified as a case of rioting.
Eight people, aged between 11 and 14, are assisting the police with their investigations.
