On Tuesday (19 Nov) morning, a car ran a red light and crashed into a motorcyclist before driving off.

Dashcam footage showed the vehicles on Sims Way crossing the junction as the traffic light turned green.

Suddenly, a white car ran the red light and sped across Sims Avenue.

It narrowly missed two cars and a lorry but collided with a motorcycle.

The impact sent the motorcyclist tumbling violently off his motorbike and onto the road.

Other vehicles slowed down or stopped after the accident while the rider lay motionlessly on the road.

Moments later, a pedestrian in a white shirt rushed to check on the victim.

While the pedestrian checked on the man, other cars drove past the victims.

The footage also showed the motorcyclist’s black shoes lying a distance away on the road, having been knocked off by the crash.

By this time, the victim managed to sit up while the pedestrian took out his phone, presumably to call for an ambulance.
