Man in Malaysia goes viral for lying next to mother’s grave

A photo of a man wearing a delivery rider uniform lying next to his mother’s grave in Malaysia recently went viral after it was posted on Facebook on 24 Nov.

According to the user who shared the photo, she often sees the man visiting his mother’s grave, spending long periods of time there, whether in the morning or evening.

“Every time he came, he would bring a packet of tea in a plastic bag and sit cross-legged by his mother’s grave, reflecting quietly,” she wrote.

On one occasion, she saw him spread a sleeping mat beside his mother’s resting place after reciting a prayer.

The user also shared that her children had spoken to the rider and learned that his mother had passed away in a road accident.

Man expresses longing for late mum on TikTok

The man has since been identified as 28-year-old Azim, a delivery rider.

His TikTok account, where he shares his grief and memories of his late mother, gained significant attention after the photo of him by her grave went viral.

Azim’s videos depict the overwhelming challenge of moving forward with life following his mother’s passing on 7 June.
