Tesla driver recklessly cut across 4 lanes in Chinatown despite rain on 16 NovĀ
The driver of a Tesla Model Y was recently spotted driving recklessly in Chinatown, including swerving across four lanes in the rain.
The car was also seen cutting in front of a car that was about to turn, nearly causing an accidnet in the process.
Tesla rapidly drives across lanes in rain
Footage of the near collision was posted on the SG Road Vigilante (SGRV) Facebook page, drawing criticism from netizens.
According to the caption accompanying the footage, the incident occurred at about 7.12pm on Sunday (16 Nov).
Just seconds into the video, the white Tesla car attempted to cut in front of the camcar travelling on Upper Cross Street.

The camcar driver braked and blared their horn in response.
Moments later, the Tesla accelerated and cut in front of another car that was turning right onto Eu Tong Sen Street. The other car braked immediately to avoid a crash.

Afterwards, the Tesla picked up speed and veered sharply back onto Upper Cross Street, nearly clipping the kerb.

It then rapidly cut across all four lanes of the road, which appeared wet from the rain.

Still at high speed, the Tesla overtook several cars before veering back across all four lanes to the right side of Upper Cross Street.

Netizens criticise driver’s recklessness but praise skills
Many netizens criticised the Tesla Model Y’s driver for their reckless driving.
“People like that should not be allowed on the road. They will kill somebody one day,” said this Facebook user.

Some, however, were impressed at the skills on display, comparing them to a Formula 1 driver.
One user even joked that F1 drivers would fall short of the driving in the video.

Numerous netizens also blamed the camcar driver for being “selfish” and blocking the Tesla from changing lanes.

Others defended them, claiming the Tesla driver did a last-minute lane change to “cut queue” on purpose.
