Family hires sexy dancers to perform during last day of man’s funeral
People nearing their death sometimes make dying wishes — some of which have to be done by their surviving family members — to fulfil their final aspirations.
In Thailand, a family hired “sexy dancers” to perform at the funeral of their deceased loved one, a 59-year-old man, allegedly to fulfil his final wish.
A video posted on Facebook of the unusual scene during his wake shows three scantily clad women dancing while facing his coffin.

Eventually, the dancers turned around to perform for the crowd of guests as well.
Sexy dancers were deceased man’s final wish
According to AmarinTV, the deceased, Mr Winich (transliterated from Thai), passed away due to chronic illness.
The controversial performance occurred on Monday (20 April) at the deceased’s home in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, during the final night of the funeral rites.

The organisers revealed that the sexy dance performance in front of the coffin was Mr Winich’s dying wish.
He was scheduled for cremation at Wat Thepphanom Chueat the following day (21 April).
Sexy dance during wake draws mixed reactions
The video of the sexy dancers at the man’s funeral garnered mixed reactions on social media.
Some were accepting of the performance, saying it was the deceased’s dying wish, and even made jokes about it.
One user said such a performance was better than mourning, as it helps alleviate the sadness from the man’s passing.

However, others felt the performance was inappropriate for a funeral setting.
Some pointed out that traditional Thai funerals for the elderly typically feature cultural performances, such as folk dances, rather than provocative acts.

Others also raised concerns about the presence of children at the wake.

Translation: I understand it was the deceased’s last wish…but is it appropriate to have young children at the ceremony… If you’re going to hold it, you should separate the children from the adults. (Personal opinion)
