23-year-old motorcyclist sent to hospital after accident with car in Jurong

A 23-year-old motorcyclist was sent to the hospital last Thursday (7 May) after being involved in an accident with a car in Jurong.

Photos of the aftermath shared in a Telegram channel showed his motorcycle lying on its side in the middle of a traffic junction.

Nearby was a white Mazda that appeared to have been turning right into Jurong Canal Drive.

Photo motorcycle & car damaged in accident

Another photo depicted a man wearing a motorcycle helmet, two women and two police officers standing next to the badly damaged motorcycle.

Debris was scattered across the road.

The car was also damaged, with its front bumper partially dislodged and its licence plate having fallen off, according to a third photo.

Motorcyclist conveyed to NTFGH

In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it was alerted to the accident at about 9.55pm on 7 May.

It took place at the junction of Jurong East Avenue 1 and Jurong Canal Drive, and involved car and a motorcycle.

A 23-year-old male motorcyclist was sent to the hospital, SPF added.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), which was alerted at the same, told MS News that he was conveyed to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

Additionally, a 39-year-old female car driver is assisting with investigations.

Police investigations are ongoing.
