Charles Leclerc to make special appearance at Ray-Ban pop-up in Clarke Quay on 7 Oct

Beyond The Track Ray-Ban pop-up at Clarke Quay features special appearance by Charles Leclerc

Formula 1 drivers may spend race weekend tearing around the Marina Bay Street Circuit, but some of the action spills well beyond the track, too.

Ahead of the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix, Ray-Ban is bringing its Beyond The Track pop-up to CQ @ Clarke Quay, where race fans can get closer to the world of Scuderia Ferrari HP without needing a paddock pass.

Running from 1 to 14 Oct, the two-week experience brings together motorsport, fashion, and entertainment, with racing challenges, limited-edition eyewear, a Ferrari show car, and, perhaps most importantly for Ferrari fans, a special appearance by Charles Leclerc.

Charles Leclerc to appear at pop-up on 7 Oct

If catching Leclerc through a visor at racing speed doesn’t quite count as seeing him, fans will get a much closer look on 7 Oct.

The Scuderia Ferrari HP driver will make a special appearance at the Beyond The Track pop-up at Fountain Square from 5pm, as part of Ray-Ban’s partnership with the racing team.

Fans can catch Leclerc during an on-stage segment and hear from the Ferrari driver in person before the Singapore Grand Prix weekend gets underway two days later.

For context, this year’s race runs from 9 to 11 Oct, with Singapore also hosting its first F1 Sprint weekend. The main Grand Prix takes place on 11 Oct.

Pop-up features limited-edition Scuderia Ferrari eyewear

Of course, Ferrari fans who want something more wearable than team colours can browse the Ray-Ban for Scuderia Ferrari collection while they’re there.

The range combines familiar Ray-Ban silhouettes with racing-inspired details, including special and limited-edition designs.

One of the standouts is the Flax Fiber Limited Edition, which is available exclusively at the pop-up.

Made from linen fibre, the sunglasses have a raw, organic finish while retaining the rigidity needed for the frame, a somewhat unexpected meeting of plant fibre and motorsport design.

Then there’s the Singapore Special Edition, created with the city’s famous night race in mind.

The pair comes in black metal with dark grey polarised lenses, red rubber temple tips, and a structured double bridge, finished with a small Scuderia Ferrari prancing horse logo on the arms.

Beyond the Scuderia Ferrari collection, visitors can browse a wider selection of Ray-Ban eyewear, including the Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses.

Selected eyewear and cases can also be personalised with live engraving, a service available exclusively at the pop-up.

And if sunglasses alone aren’t enough to complete the race-week look, fans can also shop official apparel and merchandise from the PUMA for Scuderia Ferrari Replica Collection.

Get closer to the racing action

Once the shopping is done, the pop-up turns decidedly more hands-on.

Taking centre stage is the Scuderia Ferrari SF-23 Show Car, giving fans an up-close look at the design and engineering behind Ferrari’s 2023 Formula 1 machine.

Those who would rather drive than stare can hop into one of two race simulators and take on the Marina Bay Street Circuit from a replica racing seat, steering wheel in hand.

There’s also a Reflex Test designed around the split-second reactions demanded in motorsport, for anyone curious to see if their reaction time is quick enough to go up against Leclerc.

For something even more hands-on, the Pit Stop Challenge lets visitors try one of Formula 1’s most deceptively difficult jobs: changing a tyre as quickly as possible.

Participants will race against the clock, much like a real pit crew working to shave precious fractions of a second off a stop.

Those who set a record will receive exclusive Scuderia Ferrari HP merchandise, while stocks last. All participants will also receive a voucher redeemable at the pop-up.

Race-week entertainment continues after dark

The action doesn’t stop once the racing challenges are over.

From 2 to 4 Oct and again on 7 Oct, CQ @ Clarke Quay will host Music Matters Live performances and projection mapping from 7pm onwards, keeping the race-week atmosphere going into the evening.
