“She was wearing hospital clothes as she had no spare clothes,” the police chief said.
The hospital also confirmed that the deceased had just been discharged and was sent home in her hospital gown since she had no change of clothes, New Straits Times reported.
The son picked up his mother in the car, but she reportedly refused to get out of the vehicle when they arrived at the parking lot at 2.50pm.
Her son then left her in the vehicle and went inside the house. The police chief also shared that the deceased had a history of diabetes.
An initial examination of her body found no suspicious injuries or criminal elements, and the case has been classified as sudden death.
It was also scheduled for autopsy at the Forensic Medicine Department of Melaka Hospital on Monday (5 Oct).
