Schoolboy jaywalking across Bishan Street 11 gets hit by Mercedes car, passersby tend to him
A schoolboy was hit by a car while jaywalking across Bishan Street 11 on Thursday (8 Oct).
Footage showed him urgently continuing across the road after reaching a divider. He was then struck by a vehicle travelling along the left lane.

The incident was shared on the Singapore Road Vigilante (SGRV) Facebook page on Thursday (8 Oct).
Schoolboy hit while crossing Bishan Street 11
According to the SGRV posts, the incident happened at around 5.20pm along Bishan Street 11.
The post alleged that the boy had “jaywalked from opposite side of the road, stopped at road divider and decided to continue crossing fully without checking for incoming cars”.
In the video, the boy can be seen crossing one side of the road before reaching the divider.

He then attempts to cross the other side, where several vehicles appear to be waiting at a red light.
However, a car moves forward and hits the boy as he runs in front of it.
The boy appears able to get up and continue to the other side of the road, however, a torn shred of his jacket is seen in front of the car.

It is unclear from the footage whether he sustained any injuries, but SGRV showed passersby tending to the boy as he lay on the grass patch at the side of the road.

The circumstances leading to the collision, including whether the boy received medical attention, remain unclear.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told MS News that they received no reports at that time and place.
MS News has reached out to the Singapore Police Force (SPF) for comment.
