Car hits boy crossing pedestrian crossing on kick scooter in Ang Mo Kio
A car driver is assisting with police investigations after hitting a boy on a kick scooter in Ang Mo Kio.
Footage of the incident posted by SG Road Vigilante on Facebook showed the right-turning car knocking the boy down as he was crossing the road at the green man.

In the clip recorded by another motorist, which had the timestamp of 7.37pm on 22 Sept, the boy is seen waiting to cross the road at a pedestrian crossing.
When the green man came on in his favour, the boy crossed the road on his kick scooter, using his left leg to propel himself forward.

However, a white sport-utility vehicle (SUV) turning right headed straight for him.

Boy knocked off his feet by collision with car
The ensuing collision knocked the boy off his feet and onto the car’s bonnet.

He then appeared to have been thrown forward onto the road.

After stopping for a while, the camcar continued on its journey.
Car driver allegedly refused to let boy use his phone
The post claimed that the boy is 11 years old. Its caption, which was purportedly written by the boy’s mother, detailed what allegedly happened after the accident.
As the boy had lost his handphone in the collision, he had no way of calling his family, and the car driver allegedly refused to let him use his own phone.
The driver did send the boy back to his block, but did not bring him up to his flat, the mother also claimed.
As for his injuries, the doctor said they were “nothing serious”, though the boy vomited the day after, she added.
42-year-old driver assisting police investigations
In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it was alerted to the accident at about 7.55pm on 22 Sept.
It took place along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10, and involved a car and a pedestrian.
A 42-year-old male car driver is assisting with police investigations, which are ongoing.
