Emergency resuscitation was administered at the scene before she was taken to Putrajaya Hospital for further treatment.

Despite that, she was subsequently pronounced dead.

Speaking to The New Straits Times, the girl’s father said that he found his daughter lying unconscious in the school’s second-floor corridor when he rushed down.

He added that the ambulance arrived after about 15 minutes.

At the hospital, doctors reportedly told him that his daughter’s airway had likely been blocked by food.

However, the exact cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
