At 9.30am on Wednesday (10 Apr), local Marvel fans swarmed online to get their hands on Avengers: Endgame movie tickets.
Hoards of eager fans wrecked havoc on Golden Village & Cathay’s websites as they faced downtime after they couldn’t handle the sheer amount of traffic.

We haven’t confirmed if the tickets are sold out, but the saga continues on Carousell.
Local scalpers and resellers are now re-selling tickets for up to S$2 million. Yes, you absolutely saw that right.
Resold for up to $2 million
Tickets for Avengers: Endgame start from S$7.50 to S$13.50 at Cathay Cineplexes and Golden Village.
Gold Class admission tickets are priced at S$42 at Golden Village, but it does come with a fancy meal.
We’re not sure how high Avengers: Endgame tickets will be resold, but the most expensive listing is currently at S$2 million.
It’s a tempting offer for those who are willing to do whatever it takes to watch it first.
In the US, ticket prices were reportedly reached up to USD$9,199 for two tickets, but local prices are at an all-time high.
S$888 for couple seats & bundles of 40 tickets
You don’t need to sell your house to buy a ticket because there are less outrageous, yet still expensive offers like this S$888 pair of tickets for couples.
Some scalpers have successfully bought a bundle of 40 tickets and are apparently trying to selling them off as well.
