Baby Was Wrapped In Plastic Bag & Found In A Bedok North Flat Rubbish Chute

A rubbish chute is a place where most people would consider too foul to venture near.
Yet on Tuesday (7 Jan), cleaners made a shocking discovery in a rubbish chute at an HDB block in Bedok North.
Newborn baby found in HDB rubbish chute
According to The Straits Times, the cleaners had found a newborn baby at the bottom of the rubbish chute at Block 534 Bedok North Street 3 on Tuesday (7 Jan) morning.
The baby was reportedly found in a plastic bag among “other bags of rubbish and food packaging”.
The bag that the infant was found in was also stained with blood, reports The Straits Times.
Based on witnesses’ account, the baby was later brought away in an ambulance.
Since the discovery, police officers have been making rounds at the block, presumably to find the culprit behind the heinous act.
Hope those behind this will be brought to justice
No matter the circumstances, abandoning a baby and leaving him or her to die is no way to treat a living being.
We hope those guilty of the act will be found soon and brought to justice.
