Bus driver helps put out Lamborghini fire along Holland Road
An SBS bus driver earned widespread praise after delaying his route to assist a Lamborghini driver extinguish a vehicle fire.
On Saturday (8 Aug), Instagram user @smb340d posted a video of a bus captain using a fire extinguisher to douse the rear engine of a black Lamborghini parked by a bus stop at Holland Road.

Standing beside him was a Caucasian man, inspecting the smoking Lamborghini.
After helping put out the fire, the bus captain carried the fire extinguisher back to his bus, which was parked a distance away from the supercar.
He stopped bus immediately to assist Lamborghini driver
In response to queries from MS News, the Original Poster (OP) shared that the incident occurred at the Sommerville Pk bus stop at around 6pm.
The OP said the bus captain noticed the Lamborghini burning and stopped the bus immediately.
After informing his passengers that the service would be briefly delayed, he grabbed a fire extinguisher from the bus and rushed to help the Lamborghini driver.
The passengers also recorded the incident and waited patiently for the bus driver to return.
Bus captains provided with basic firefighting training
Mrs Grace Wu, an SBS Transit spokesperson, confirmed to MS News that the incident took place on the evening of 8 Aug along Holland Road.
When the bus captain, 51-year-old Zhang Zhipeng, saw smoke coming from a car ahead, he pulled his Service 123 bus over at a safe distance.
He explained the situation to his passengers and grabbed the onboard fire extinguisher to assist the Lamborghini driver.
Mrs Wu said that SBS Transit bus captains receive basic firefighting training as part of their skills training.
BC Zhang acted calmly and decisively, ensuring his passengers remained safe throughout the incident.
“He was in the right place and at the right time, and we commend him for stepping forward to help a fellow motorist when it mattered,” Mrs Wu stated.
