27-year-old driver arrested after 3-car accident in Bedok Reservoir, 2 sent to hospital

A 27-year-old male driver was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs on Thursday (6 Aug) night after a multi-vehicle accident in Bedok Reservoir.

A photo of the aftermath posted by SG Road Vigilante on Facebook showed three dark-coloured cars involved in the accident stopped outside a bus stop.

3 cars involved in Bedok Reservoir accident

SGRV’s image depicted one of the cars having mounted the kerb and crashed into a traffic control box.

Another car in the left lane, with its door open, sustained damages to its hood and left side, while the third car was in the bus bay behind them.

Debris was scattered across the road, and paramedics attended to a person sitting on the kerb.

An ambulance was also at the scene, parked behind the third car.

Police question man in basketball jersey

A photo shared in a Telegram chat group for motorists showed that the police had cordoned off the area surrounding the bus stop.

4 injured in Bedok Reservoir accident, 2 sent to hospital

In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it was alerted to the accident at about 10.20pm on 6 Aug.

It took place along Bedok Reservoir Road in the direction of Eunos Link, and involved three cars.

Two male car drivers, aged 27 and 50, were sent to the hospital in a conscious state.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), which was alerted at the same time, told MS News that both of them were conveyed to Changi General Hospital.

Two more people were assessed after suffering minor injuries, but declined to be sent to the hospital.

Driver arrested & 2 vapes seized

Additionally, a 27-year-old male car driver was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.

Two vaporisers were seized in the incident.

The vape-related offence has been referred to the Health Sciences Authority.

Police investigations are ongoing.
