Car seen inside drain in Marsiling, driver leaves scene before police arrives
The police are looking for a driver who left the scene after crashing their car into a drain in Marsiling early on Friday (11 Sept) morning.
A TikTok video of the aftermath showed that the car had fallen sideways into the drain.

Car smashes through railings outside Marsiling Spring
In the clip, the original poster (OP) said he had come across the scene at 4am.
The car was observed to have mounted the kerb and smashed through the railings outside the “Marsiling Spring” sign.

In the process, it left a piece of its bumper on the pavement, as well as broken pieces of the railing.

The OP identified it as a “pretty sick-looking” Mazda, to which another man was heard saying, “It’s always the Mazda.”
They also observed that the car had sustained significant damage, remarking, “The whole bottom is shattered.”

Several police officers present along with tow truck
While two police officers were initially at the scene, several more soon arrived along with a police car.

Later, a pick-up crane truck arrived.

It lifted the car out of the drain

As this happened, the OP and his friends noted the car’s damage, seeing that more car parts had been detached and left behind in the drain.

Efforts to trace car driver underway
In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it was alerted to the accident at about 3.15am on 11 Sept.
It took place along Marsiling Road towards Marsiling Drive, and involved a car which is believed to have self-skidded.
Its driver left the scene before SPF arrived, it added.
Thus, efforts to trace the driver are underway.
Police investigations are ongoing.
