GREEN-HOUSE 2026 at Temasek Shophouse has pet-friendly activities, eco-friendly workshops, and more from 28 to 30 Aug
It’s not every day you find a weekend outing that keeps the whole family entertained, costs nothing to enter, and encourages everyone to be a little kinder to the planet.
That’s the idea behind GREEN-HOUSE 2026, Singapore’s first and largest experiential sustainability festival, which returns to Temasek Shophouse from 28 to 30 Aug with pet-friendly activities, hands-on workshops, food experiences, and homegrown brands to browse.
This year’s theme, “Don’t Waste A Good Time”, puts a playful spin on sustainable living, while its first-ever Singapore Night Festival tie-in will see the festival stay open until 10pm for after-dark activities, too.
Pet-friendly activities for four-legged family members
Good news if you have a furry family member you want to bring along: GREEN-HOUSE 2026 is pet-friendly, with plenty of programming suited to our favourite four-legged pals.
Pet parents can squeeze in some shopping with treats from The Dog Grocer, toys from Woof Living, and pet- and child-safe home-cleaning products from Ollie.
And if you’ve ever caught your dog staring longingly at your dessert, there’s even a workshop for them.
On 29 Aug, The Dog Grocer’s Pup-Friendly Chendol workshop lets participants make a dog-safe spin on the familiar local dessert.

You’ll also take home a silicone treat container and pre-made components, so your pup can enjoy another round of canine-friendly chendol at home.
Whether you’re a doting pawrent or just adore animals in general, there should be something for you.
Dog lovers can meet rescued pooches from Paws of JB that are up for adoption over the weekend, bird enthusiasts can learn about parrot welfare through games and activities with Parrot Society SG, while nature lovers can discover more about Singapore’s wildlife and biodiversity with Nature Society Singapore.

Turn bottle caps and cassette tapes into something worth keeping
Of course, sustainability is still at the heart of GREEN-HOUSE, and many of its activities are designed to show just how much life supposedly unwanted materials can still have.
At E•VOL Studio’s Melt and Reshape Recycled Plastic Keychain workshop, discarded bottle caps are melted down and reshaped into colourful marbled keychains.
Those feeling nostalgic for the days before Spotify can head to Rehyphen’s Assembly Cassette Bag Charm workshop.
The local studio works with pre-loved cassette tapes, and its GREEN-HOUSE session lets participants turn them into cute retro-looking bag charms of their own.
There is also FIN Crafted Goods’ A Mend Away workshop for anyone whose favourite shirt has acquired an unfortunately placed hole.
Participants will learn simple techniques for repairing rips and reinforcing thinning fabric, so clothes do not automatically have to head for the bin once they start showing some wear and tear.

Together, these hands-on sessions make greener habits feel less abstract, giving visitors a chance to have fun, make something useful, and pick up ideas they can continue at home.
Eat kitchen scraps on purpose
That same greener mindset carries over to food, with GREEN-HOUSE offering a rather unusual way to rethink what normally disappears straight into the bin.
Eat Your Scraps!, co-curated by GREEN-HOUSE with food design unit Nottofu and circular concept café Bricolage, turns everyday kitchen scraps into a walk-and-dine experience.
The menu puts commonly discarded ingredients such as vegetable peels, citrus rinds, prawn shells, coffee grounds, stale bread, and whole bananas to work in dishes such as Vegetable Treacle, Coffee-Roasted Kohlrabi and Coffee Shoyu, and Banana Skin Jam.
Besides walking away with a full tummy (and perhaps a newfound appreciation for ingredients you would usually toss), diners also receive recipe cards and tips for putting kitchen scraps to use, so they can keep up more sustainable habits at home.
A complimentary packet of Nobo Soy or Almond Soy Milk is included, too.
Browse homegrown brands for kids, home, fashion, and more
If you prefer to just wander and browse, there’s plenty of that as well.
GREEN-HOUSE brings together 74 participating brands across categories including children’s products, fashion, home and lifestyle, jewellery, beauty, and food and drink.
The festival is also where you can get a first look at homegrown womenswear brand Olive Basics’ new Every Active collection before it launches online on 31 Aug.
Priced from S$57 to S$79, the line includes a reversible crop tank with two necklines and a built-in shelf bra, an easy padded tee with removable inserts, and double-layered biker tights designed to offer support while staying breathable and opaque.
The range leans into softer, more breathable fabrics, using modal, including TENCEL Modal derived from responsibly sourced wood, alongside cotton and elastane instead of relying on fully synthetic performance fabrics.
Elsewhere, there are homeware, accessories, skincare, pantry goods, and more, with many brands centred on reusing materials, reducing waste, choosing longer-lasting products, or simply making everyday essentials more thoughtfully.
In keeping with the festival’s sustainability message, beauty lovers can bring along their empties, too.
L’Occitane en Provence will have a Beauty Empties Recycling Station where visitors can drop off clean, dry empty beauty bottles from any brand, with no purchase required, in exchange for complimentary treats and exclusive rewards.
Stay until after dark at GREEN-HOUSE 2026
The fun doesn’t stop after the sun goes down, with GREEN-HOUSE staying open until 10pm for the first time as part of the Singapore Night Festival.
One installation worth sticking around for is Mercedes-Benz’s What Does Your Tomorrow Respond To?, which uses around 800 discarded aluminium cans in a solar-powered kinetic installation.
It captures solar energy during the day, then comes alive after dark with light and movement that responds to visitors in real time.
The installation neatly sums up GREEN-HOUSE’s wider message: materials that might otherwise be treated as waste can still be reimagined into something engaging, useful, or beautiful.
