Update (15 May, 11.25pm): Honestbee just released a media update confirming that delivery services will cease from 20 May (Mon).
Honestbee Informs Their Riders Of Delivery Service Termination
Food delivery services make life easy for those who want to hide at home but want restaurant-grade food.
However, you will allegedly be losing one such service soon.
Based on a post shared on Singapore Atrium Sale, honestbee sent an email out to their riders informing them that food delivery services will cease “from this week onward”, which probably means there will be no more service after this coming Sunday (19 May).
The netizen who shared it suggested that honestbee customers with remaning credits to quickly use all of them.
Ceasing food delivery slots
The email was meant to inform riders that the services will cease soon, and to assure them that they will be paid for the past 2 weeks of service according to the regular payout schedule.
Quickly use your credits
Since the email was meant for riders, the netizen believes that users “are not supposed to see this”.
However, the netizen seems to be on the side of users as he urges everyone to use their credits as soon as possible before the service ends.
Official statement not released
While it looks like a legitimate email, honestbee has yet to release an official statement about this.
But looking at news around the world, it seems like the “strategic review” may be a sign that their business isn’t doing too well. We have reached out to them to confirm if this information is true.
As for now, just prepare to order food through other services for Ramadan.
